Treiber Friedemann Amadeus

Friedemann Amadeus Treiber, born 1971 in Offenburg, got his first violin lessons in the age of 5 by his brother Felix. In the next ten years he studied with Wolfgang Marschner (Music University Freiburg i. Br.) and Hansheinz Schneeberger (Music University Basel). After the matura 1990 he got in 1991 at the Music University Basel the soloist diploma and in 1992 the diploma as a violin teacher. He won several prizes in national and international competitions. International concert activity as a soloist, chamber musician and with well-known orchestras such as SWR-Broadcasting Orchstra, Nürnberger Sinfoniker, Philharmony of Stettin, Symphony-Orchestra Basel,BAROSSA Festival Orchestra Australia) Recordings since 1985 with Deutschlandfunk, SWR, Swiss Radio DRS, Australian Broadcast Corporation, CD-Recordings with solo works by Westhoff, Bach, Paganini, Reger, Bartók, Treiber and Henze,also together with the guitarist Klaus Jäckle,with Ensemble Aventure Freiburg and Ensemble Phoenix Basel.His repertoire includes several works for solo violin ,chamber music and violin concerts of all epochs. He is also concertmaster of the Ensemble Phoenix Basel and first violinist of the Ensemble Aventure Freiburg i.Br.. In addition he plays piano and viola and is also very active as a composer.
