Born in Basel
- Studied piano (Jean-Jacques Dünki), conducting (Wilfried Boettcher and Manfred Honeck) and composition (Rudolf Kelterborn) at the music school in Basel
- Received stipends from the Hans Huber Foundation and the Rapp Foundation
1996 until 1997 - Studied in Paris (Betsy Jolas, course at IRCAM)
2002 until 2005 - Studied conducting (major in early music) at the Musikhochschule Luzern (directing with Thüring Bräm, harpsichord with Bettina Seeliger).
- Received commissions for compositions from important institutions and ensembes for contemporary music (PRO HELVETIA, ensemble für neue musik zürich, europäischer musikmonat 01, Basler Madrigalisten etc.)
- Works performed in Basel, Darmstadt, Dusseldorf, Odessa, Sofia, Vienna and Zurich)
- Several recordings for radio
- Teaches at the AMS Muttenz and the Musikhochschule Basel
