Durmuş Sadık Uğraş

Sadık Uğraş Durmuş was born in Manisa/TURKEY (1978). He studied piano with Nergis Şakirzade/Sarı and flute with Halil Ekseriyet at Izmir Anatolian Fine Art High School for four years. In 1995 he was accepted to composition department of Bilkent University, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts  (Ankara) and there he studied composition with Elhan Bakihanov for five years. In 2000, he was accepted to composition department of Rotterdam Conservatory and he studied one year with Peter-Jan Wagemans and the rest three years with Klaas de Vries.

Throughout these years he studied electronic music with Rene Uilenhoet. Between september 2004, june 2006 he studied at Amsterdam Conservatory (second phase) with Theo Loevendie. After the graduation he returned to Turkey. Currently he is teaching composition and theory at Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts.
